FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • All designs you see on Sugarface are semi-customisable. That means you can change the wording, add on additional items such as name cards and envelope liners and in some cases, change the colours if the design allows. Sugarface will advise what is possible when it comes to colour combinations and stock availability.

Custom designs are created from scratch where we will work together to design something that is only for you and your event. If you’re looking for something you just can’t seem to find, this is the option for you.

  • Many, many hours have been spent pouring over combinations that do and don’t work to refine each and every design to create the best possible outcome. Creating uniquely bold designs is what Sugarface does best, changing the typeface would alter the entire design.

  • A general rule of thumb is to allow for a 6 week turn around for semi-custom orders for updating the design with details/approvals and printing, with fully custom invitations taking around 12 weeks.

  • Up to 3 rounds of proofs are included in a full suite price (you should only need 2). Any further changes will incur additional fees. Changes cannot be made once your order has gone to print.

  • Images in the finished product may vary to how they look on your screen. Screens (RGB) display colour differently to printers (CMYK) so there will always be a discrepancy between what you see on your screen and what you print out at home or what you get back from the printer. Different paper stocks can also affect colours and different print runs can differ slightly too. Don’t fret, Sugarface has gone to the nth degree to colour match as close as possible from screen to paper.

  • Sugarface does not offer sample delivery, however if you live in Melbourne and would like to see paper colours and stocks in person, please get in touch to arrange a meeting. My swatch book is waiting for you.

  • One invitation per household is recommended. Make sure to order 10 to 15 extra invitations in case you have last minute changes to your guest list as well as a few for keepsake & photography.

  • Foiling is very different from digital printing services… that’s what makes it so special! Each foil design requires a custom magnesium plate to be made and the press expertly set for printing, massively increasing the cost.

That being said, it’s one of the best ways to make your stationery stand out and is totally worth the effort when you see the finished product. It’s the ultimate statement if you’re after something luxe… and let’s face it, that’s why you’re here ;)

  • Short answer - yes, assuming the production calendar allows! They will be evaluated on a case by case basis so best to shoot me an email ASAP to hello@sugarfacestudio.com
