PRINT LINGO… PLEASE EXPLAIN?

  • Hot Foil

    Hot foil pressing (or stamping) is a process whereby metallic foil is applied to the surface of the stock using heat & pressure, resulting in a luxe finish.

  • Digital Printing

    Digital printing is a method that prints digital images directly onto various media, like paper, fabric, or plastic, using specialised printers.

  • Cut Lettering

    A process where characters or graphics are individually cut out from a solid sheet, resulting in a design with a clean, one-colour look and no background.

  • Spot UV

    Spot UV is generally used as a clear thick gloss over matt backgrounds to give some texture and highlight shapes or text.

  • Deboss Vs Letterpress

    Debossing creates a sunken impression, while blind letterpress creates an impression without ink, resulting in a subtle, tactile effect. ‘Letterpress’ does the same but with ink.
